I’m the last person who will tell you to smile and be positive. Even before the global pandemic uprooted life as we know it, our screens were filled with a seemingly endless parade of bad news. National politics alone were enough to send one into a downward spiral of hopelessness, and then there is the very real and tangible stories of senseless violence, natural disasters, financial disparity, health challenges, and ideological polarization… just to name a few. I bring these things up to say that I recognize that the problems that keep us up at night, whatever they may look like, are real. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, when I take a closer look at what is around me, I see so many instances of good. The greater the challenges facing us, the harder people work to help each other. And when I take a step back, I see small moments of joy all around me. Throughout my day, there are moments of observation and encounters with people that boost my spirits, even when I don’t recognize it at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s important to recognize and celebrate the good, even while we fight to survive or to help change the bad. Good News Sonoma is meant to do just that. This is a show about good news in Sonoma Valley. YOUR good news. OUR good news. Whether you have an anecdote, a photo, or a video, share your GOOD NEWS<\/a> and let’s celebrate it together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
